Early Years & Families

Early Years and Families

Since 2005 Pied Piper has been delivering activiites for the under 5's and their parents and carers. Our involvement with this age range began with the Musical Storytimes project which Pied Piper delivered in partnership with Live Music Now and North Yorkshire's Library & Information Service on behalf of NYMAZ. This original project focusised exclusively on 3 - 5 year olds and all sessions took place in libraries. Since then Pied Piper has continued to develop this activity to deliver family workshops and activiites to engage very young children.

Pied Piper's projects for families and very young children is increasingly in demand from local agencies and partners, as we are able to offer a unique package of activity which combines high quality music making opportunities led by professional musicians who have the specialist skills required to work with very young children.

Since 2009, Pied Piper has provided workshops and performances for early years groups and families on behalf of Ryedale's Children's Centre, The Ryedale Festival and The Malton Literature Festival.

Pied Piper can develop bespoke programmes of activity for early years settings, nursery classes, community groups and festivals to meet specific aims and objectives, to suit a particular theme and to fit within most budgets.
