Pied Piper welcomes back internationally acclaimed musicians and composers Jan Kopinski and Steve Illiffe for a weekend of jazz and improvised music for young wind and brass players.
These FREE workshops are a great opportunity to perform as part of a jazz ensemble while developing your improvisation skills and exploring and experiencing different jazz styles and genres. The workshops will enable you to explore your creativity and musical imagination through improvised music as well as supporting your instrumental technique and development.

Jan Kopinski and Steve Illiffe have a long musical partnership which ranges from contemporary jazz groups to composing live music for film. Between them they have recorded 12 albums.
They are the long time leaders of renowned power jazz group, and Shed regulars, Pinski Zoo - true UK originals of free funk/power fusion - with a cult-like following and are credited with paving the way for modern trends in UK jazz.
