Pied Piper is delighted to welcome two of The Shed's regular artists for a weekend of songwriting duyring February half term. Snake Davis has delivered many workshops with Pied Piper over the years, but this is the first time that he and Helen will be working together to support young musicians.
Young people will have a rare opportunity to learn and develop songwriting and composition skills with two of the best in the business. Helen and Snake, will teach the basics of lyric writing, song construction, composition, arranging and performance skills. On the second day of workshops participants will be able to record their new material with a professional sound engineer and create a CD.
In addition to getting to work alongside Snake & Helen for the weekend and having your song professionaly recorded, every participant will receive a FREE ticket to see Snake and Helen's next performance at The Shed.

Who are Helen & Snake?
Helen Waston is a unique performer whose versatile voice and idiosycratic songs blur the boundaries between many different genres. After being signed by EMI, Helen produced her first album Blue Slipper in Los Angeles, before touring Europe with Joe Cocker. Throughout the 1990's Helen continued to work collaboratively with a range of different musicians and singers, began recording her own trilogoy of albums for the Fledg'ling label, and even found the time to act as a co-producer for Chistine Collister. In 2006 Helen began working with Snake Davis to create the cross genre band Burden of Paradise - a collaboration which is ongoing.
Snake Davis is well established as one of the UK's leading Saxophonists. He is in demand from the biggest names on the British Popular music scene, as well as visiting artists from overseas. In recent years he has been extremely busy and in the public eye. As resident saxophonist on "Tonight With Jonathon Ross" he played with the likes of, James Brown, Smokey Robinson, Chaka Khan and many more. He has been seen regularly on TV with the Eurythmics, M-People and B*Witched and presented a Saxophone "Masterclass" programme for ITV.
