I first attended a Pied Piper workshop when I was fourteen yaers old and I have attempted to enrol on every one since. In the last few years, thanks to Pied Piper, I have performed at national events, met and played with international artists.I am now almost twenty and studying a degree in music performance; I have written and recorded my own music and intend to make a career as a composer and performer.
I can directly attribute the choice of my profession and subsequent achievements to the first life-changing introduction to the world of professional music that was provided by Pied Piper.
The workshops that I have attended over the last 5 years have provided a fast-trck into writing, performing, stage-craft and musicianship. I have been granted opportunities and experiences that would have taken me many, many years to accumulate without Pied Piper.
I know from comparing my own experiences to those of my peer group at university that I have gained tremendous advantages by meeting and learning first hand from artists who have been willing to share their knowledge and experiences. I consider myself priviledged to have met many of these individuals and ever more lucky to count some fo them as personal friends.
Other fantastic aspects of the Pied Piper workshops include the staff members, who have always been tremendously enthusiastic and supportive, plus meeting other like-minded participants, many of whom I still perform with on a regular basis.
In summary it is impossible to overstate just how valuable the work of the Pied Piper Project really is to all of the people who have attended and been involved with the organisation.
